About Practice Archive

Built by a CPA for CPAs

Practice Archive was founded by a CPA with over 10 years of experience in public accounting and a Bachelor's degree in Software Development. After witnessing firsthand how accounting firms struggle with knowledge management, undocumented procedures, and lengthy onboarding processes, we built Practice Archive to solve these critical challenges.

Having worked in firms ranging from small local practices to larger regional firms, we understand the unique challenges CPAs face: knowledge trapped in senior staff's heads, inconsistent procedures across the team, and the constant struggle to train new hires efficiently. These aren't just inconveniences—they directly impact profitability, client service quality, and staff retention.

Our Mission

We believe every accounting firm deserves access to enterprise-grade knowledge management, regardless of size. Practice Archive makes it possible for firms with 5-50 employees to capture institutional knowledge, standardize procedures, and reduce onboarding time—without the complexity and cost of traditional practice management systems.

Why AI-Powered Knowledge Management?

Traditional file storage and wikis fail because they require manual organization and make information hard to find. Practice Archive uses cutting-edge AI technology (retrieval-augmented generation) to make your firm's knowledge instantly searchable and accessible. Staff can ask questions in plain English and get cited answers from your documents—like having a senior accountant available 24/7.

We also provide professionally-written standard operating procedures for common accounting processes, reviewed by CPAs and tailored to your software stack. This gives firms a head start on documentation without spending months writing procedures from scratch.

Our Commitment

As accountants ourselves, we understand the importance of accuracy, security, and reliability. Every AI-generated answer includes source citations to prevent hallucinations. All firm data is encrypted and isolated. We're building Practice Archive with the same standards we'd expect from our own practice management tools.

We're currently in beta with select accounting firms, gathering feedback and refining the product. Our goal is to launch publicly in Q2 2026 as the go-to knowledge management platform for CPAs.
